How to configure your modules
The interactive configurator on this page (above) lets you customize each of the 2 modules making up this camping kit.
The following options can be defined for each module individually:
Sleeping area length (SL)
The two aspects need be considered when you configure the sleeping area length are:
1. What is the available lengthwise space (interior cargo length) in your vehicle.
2. How tall is the tallest person who will be using the camping box.
Keep in mind that even if the tallest person is, let's say 190cm tall, if your vehicle only has 180cm available space, the longest sleeping area that will fit is 180cm. When measuring, consider if you can move your front seats forward when extending/unfolding the camping box into sleeping mode. That may give you some extra length.
On the other hand, let's say your vehicle is a larger one, offering an available cargo length of 250cm. If the tallest person using the camping kit is 190cm tall, you could go for a sleeping area length of only 200cm despite the fact that the vehicle would allow up to 250cm.
Sleeping sections (SS)
The sleeping sections are the pieces attached to the storage box with hinges and extend/unfold, from the top of the box, to form the sleeping surface.
When folding/unfolding the camping module, two sleeping sections will require more vertical space than three.
Let's look at a real life example.
Assuming the interior vertical space (height) in your vehicle is 90cm and you go for a module having a box length (BL) of 100cm and a box height (BH) of 35cm. And you choose a sleeping area length of 200cm made of two sections. The first section (the one attached to the box) is always 12mm longer than the next sections because part of it (those 12mm) rests on the second back plate of the box.
Considering the above dimensions, folding unfolding the two sleeping sections requires 35 + 51.2 = 86.2cm vertical space.
It is important to carefully consider any ceiling curves your vehicle may have. The interior height may be 90cm in the middle but less towards the sides. So, let's move on with our example...
Although the height of your vehicle is 90cm in the middle, when you measure the height towards the sides of the vehicle, you may find out that the height drops to 80cm.
If that is the case you have two options: go for a camping module lower box (BH) (25cm in this case) or go for the 3 foldable sleeping sections option. Let's do the math again for the 3 sections.
Sleeping area length 200cm with a box that is 100cm long means the 3 sections need to be a total of 100cm (33.3cm /section). Keeping in mind that the first of the 3 sections is 12mm (1.2cm) longer than the other two, when we fold up the 3 sections the total height needed is 35 (BH) + 33.3 (one section length) + 1.2 = 69.5cm
Note that, while configuring the modules, we add an 8mm clearance to the Fold/Unfold height (info box under BL)
Conclusion: based on the above example (available vertical 80cm), a module having 3 sleeping sections will allow the sleeping sections to be folded/unfolded while a module having 2 sleeping sections will not.
ℹTip: The 3 sleeping sections allow for two sitting areas when the kit is folded up to "sofa" mode. The storage boxes become one sitting area and, on the opposite side of the module, there will be another sitting area having a length equal to the length of the last sleeping section.

Box length (BL)
The box length represent the total length/depth of the camping module when the sleeping sections are folded over the box. It is virtually the shortest the camping kit can become. When you choose the box length keep in mind the available space in the trunk. For vehicles with a second or third seat row, it is important to measure the available length, with the last seat row up, at the same height as the height of the module because most seats lean somewhat towards the back. The total inside length of a drawer is approximately 6cm shorter than the length of the box.
Keep in mind that the box length does influence the required fold/unfold height.
Example image:
Example of camping kit with 800mm (80cm) box length/depth.
Example of camping kit with 1000mm (100cm) box length/depth.
Box height (BH)
The box height is the actual total height of the box, measured vertically at its outside. The inside height is usually the outside box height (BH) minus 4,1cm (36mm material thickness + 5mm bracket and screw head).
If you go for the drawer module option, the max. inside height of the drawer is the box height minus approximately 5,5cm (55mm)
Just as the box length, the box height also influences the required fold/unfold height.
ℹFor modules with foldable sleeping area sections, please consider that the sleeping section rails do slide inside the box. So they take up some space in the upper two corners of the box.
Box width (BW)
This is the width of the box, measured horizontally at its outside. The inside width is usually the box width minus 3,4cm (24mm is the total thickness of the material + the thickness of the brackets + thickness of screw head).
If you go for the drawer module option, the max. inside width of the drawer is the box width minus approximately 9,5cm (95mm) which represents the thickness of the heavy duty drawer rails and the material of the box + the material of the drawer.
ℹThe total width of a camping kit is the sum of each module's width.
ℹFor vehicles having wheel arches protruding towards the inside, we extend the side modules to use as much as possible from the available space/width. In order for that to be possible, the height of the camping modules (box height) need to be at least the height of the wheel arches + 2cm.
Module options (ModOpt)
First things first. Our standard camping modules can not have a table or vertical dividers and a top lid at the same time. It is one or the other. A top lid simply does not make sense if the module incorporates a table. While if the module has vertical dividers, the custom rails we build for those dividers need to be fastened to a solid, non-movable piece.
The module option costs are being dynamically calculated based on several factors such as the length, width and height of the box in which the options are placed.
ℹThe cost for a drawer is being calculated as a percentage of the material needed to build the box. A drawer requires almost as much, even more for some drawer models, material as the box itself. Then there are the heavy duty rails we use, for which the cost changes based on the box length, and the labour hours required to build it.
ℹThe cost for the horizontal dividers are being influenced by the box length and width only, the cost of the vertical dividers are being influenced by the box length and height only while the cost of the front door/lid is only being influenced by the box width and height.
The front door/lid is the most simple option for a box/module. Basically, with this option, the box offers an open storage space with a front door. Please see the images below for examples.
Example image:
Left module with drawer, mid module with closed front door/lid and right module with open front door/lid
Our unique raisable table is one of its kind. It is incorporated in the module and slides vertically on rails. This allows this particular piece to be used as a table during the day. Whenever the camping kit is used for sleeping, this table is lowered (sinks) into the module becoming part of the sleeping area and sitting flush with the rest of the sleeping surface.
The excentric foot of the table provides leg room under it so that most of the space under the table is empty. This makes it easy to sit and stand up/get out of the vehicle.

Top lid (LID)
Most of the time a camping kit sits in a vehicle with the front of the box facing the trunk lid or door(s). Reason for that is quite obvious. People open the trunk, pull out the kitchen drawer and spend some quality time cooking outdoors. Or pull out the storage drawer to get out whatever they need.
What this means is that, whenever the trunk lid is closed, the drawers can not be pulled out. Which in turn means that in order to reach in for anything that's in the drawers, one would have to open the trunk.
But we found a solution. The top lid is just that. A lid that is incorporated in the top of the box which allows you to reach into those drawers without pulling them out. Think about this: you're camping, went to bed and it starts to rain. All of a sudden, while watching a movie on your tablet, you'd like to have a snack which is inside one of the drawers. Would you like to open the back door of your car, pull out the drawer to get that snack? Or you'd prefer to just open the top lid and get your snack?

Height adjustable and standard legs (LEG)
The height adjustable legs are very useful for vehicles having a bottom that is made of two different horizontal surfaces situated at different heights. Sometimes one of those surfaces is even at an angle making it a difficult task to measure the height for the legs that sustain the sleeping section rails.
In such case, the height adjustable legs are the perfect solution because they can compensate for those differences.
You can choose from the 3 different type of legs we offer:
1. Adjustable short. These legs adjust from a height that is equal to the overall height of the module minus 96mm (or less if the height of the box is under 35cm). For example, in the case of a 35cm (350mm) high module, the adjustable short legs can be set to any height between 254mm and 350mm
2. Adjustable long. These legs adjust from a height that is equal to the overall height of the module, up to the height of the module plus 200mm (can be more for modules higher than 35cm). For example, in the case of a 35cm high module, the adjustable long legs can be set to any height between 350mm and 500mm.
3. The standard legs are always as high as the module. They are a good option for vehicles with one single flat surface.
ℹThe legs we offer are foldable (space saver). They can also be removed from the sleeping surface rails by unscrewing two M6 screws.
Example images:
Adjustable long legs at different heights. The right module (further away) has its legs fully extended (height equal to module height), the mid module has the legs half extended and the legs of the left module are fully retracted (shortest possible)
Adjustable long legs at different heights. The right module (further away) has its legs fully extended, the mid module has the legs half extended and the legs of the left module are fully retracted (shortest possible and equal to the module height in this case)
Standard legs. These legs have a fixed height that is equal to the module height. If the modules/camping kit will be placed on a single flat surface, these are a suitable solution.
